One of the great experiences in 2023 was working on a project for the Central Avenue Jazz Festival in Los Angeles.
I was hired initially to create the poster art for the historic Los Angeles jazz event, but what came with the experience was the opportunity to design the logo and collaborate with another artist in another part of the world.
I created an initial rough sketch for the poster art:
I then reached out to a fellow artist, Martina Ardissono, and asked her to interpret my sketch in her style. This is what she created, which became the artwork for the poster. She did an outstanding job.
